Chad Cordero is available?! He's my safe pick because he is the least likely to have competition for the closer's role. However, unless he is traded soon, Borowski figures to have the most save opportunities as the Marlins have been on a tear.

You can always have both Turnbow and FranCo now and keep whoever runs away with the job.

I only have one spot open, I'm going to cut one of my SS's.. I have four right now, but two play multiple other positions.

From The Wire, by Scott Pianowski

    Tread carefully:
Joe Borowski, RP, Marlins – I don't know that he will be traded, but he certainly could and arguably should as the market for middle relievers is thin right now. Mind you, Borowski has been an excellent closer in Florida for much of the year, but the team would prefer to get out from under his pending bonus, and there are plenty of young guns who can close for the baby Marlins if and when Borowski is shipped out in the next few days (Taylor Tankersley is the most intriguing). It's been stated that Borowski isn't going anywhere. Don't believe the sound bytes you here from the Marlins over the weekend because if there's one time of year clubs don't tell the truth, it's during the trading season. Last Updated: 7/28
The possibility of Borowski being traded is why I'd pick Chad Cordero.

Take Chad Cordero, and if he's not available, Francisco.
