Obviously 2 and 3 could flip if Cooper has a great game and Gordo does not. But I wonder if Gordon has an amazing day, it makes the voting more compelling

I think if Ohio State wins like 55-17, then they're in. If they win like 17-14, I doubt they pass TCU or Baylor.

statistcally, case can be made for both. And then there's Mississippi State winning 10 games and TCU being a potential title contender. I could see all 5 or even Cooper getting shunned since he's a receiver.

Also, if Florida State loses to Georgia Tech they rightfully should be out of the final 4....but if they win I can't justify taking an undefeated power 5 team out.

baby steps leonardo, baby steps. it should be top 8... hell, top 16. or top 12, and give the top 4 teams a bye. something more expanded. but theyre not gonna jump from a computer deciding the best two teams [which wouldve been fun as shit this year], straight to 16.

I'm all for allowing the lower conference teams (Sunbelt, Conference USA, etc) a chance to play in by beating the #1 or 2 seed should they finish their season undefeated.

Kinda like the 16 seeds in the NCAAB tourney. If they're outmatched it'll show but if they beat the best team in the rankings then they deserve in.

agreed all around, that was implied with the whole scrapping of the playoff committee thing. its no gimme that florida state wins that game though.

FSU won't fall out if they beat Tech. Plus Tech is now their best opponent this season and would be their best win. If they win. But running the triple option like they do can be brutal and FSU's D is not super. Tech is certainly playing for a New Years bowl. I can see an easy upset..
