Barney: Circle gets the square!

And Garrett must be better than those two!
Oh yeah bye bye Singletary! I would like to have Gruden!
I'm not saying Wade was a good head coach. But at least he gave us a decent defense there for a while.(up until this season)
And I don't even know if Garrett is a lock for next season.

San Diego has had a good defense, and a good offense, at various points in his Norval's tenure. This year, they had a horrible special teams outside of Scifi Channel. And then they just, what, decided to give up and let Carson Palmer look good?
I don't know. Norval is still a good offensive coordinator (but should only be as much). Ask Alex Smith.

Alex Smith's stats weren't good even with Norv. In fact, Smith had a better year with Jimmy Raye. Also, the last time I checked, Norv has been calling the plays for the Chargers offense, so I have to laugh at the contradiction all his critics make in saying he is still a good offensive coordinator when they don't believe he did a good job for the Chargers.
Norv and A.J. will be back in SD in 2011. Spanos: No changes at top for Chargers - SignOnSanDiego.com
I love that Spanos brings up the dark ages of his franchise as an excuse to remain complacent. It's shades of Frank McCourt bragging about his team having made the playoffs 4 times in his six-year (now seven) ownership, after making just two postseasons in the prior 15 years.“We’re as disappointed as anyone. But I look to 1996 to 2003, when we couldn’t even get (beyond) 8-8. We’ve turned it around, to where we’re a good team and a good organization. There’s a lot of continuity, but we’re still short.
The easiest thing in the world is to start over. Who the hell do I go hire? Blow the whole thing up?

Progress..according to Spanos. Then again, Norv is a loser and SD is loser sports city, so it all makes sense.

I don't know why I watched this game. Both teams suck. Neither should be allowed in the playoffs.

Charlie Whitehurst leads the Seahawks to the playoffs, while the Chargers will be golfing.
The way he's going, A.J. Smith can trade the water boy and still come out on the short end of the deal.
