because firing your coach midseason is hardly a make or break indication of being spineless.

Jerry is rivaled only by Al Davis and Dan Snyder when it comes to coaching changes. The guy fired Bill Parcells when the Boys weren't even half as bad as they are this year.

im no fan of Jerry Jones and, as I said, he's a lot of things, but calling him spineless is like calling Dan Snyder a cheapskate.

I blame Jerry for letting this get to this point. Wade shoulda been gone a month ago. Jerry Jones and Mike Brown are polar opposites, but have more in common than you might think. They both love their teams, they both want total control, and the both want yes men as their head coaches.

How would have firing Wade a month ago helped anything?

The NFL requires intricate gameplanning and schemes to win. You can't just arbitrarily bring in a new HC (and a new system) and expect it to work out.

A team makes their bed when they enter a season with a HC. By firing Wade mid-season Jerry's essentially throwing in the towel for the 2010 Cowboys season. (As he pretty much should)

I'm not going to say Jerry's a great owner. You're right about his desire to have ultimate control and yes men, but at the same time I still think you're off about the spineless remark.

Mike Brown would not have fired Wade at this juncture because he'd still have to pay him.
