    I have no idea if he is or not. Are you completely forgetting how much he would cost? The Tigers are not going to spend $25 million/year on one player just because their DH is out for one season. It makes no sense whatsoever.

    Victor Martinez underwent microfracture surgery Friday on his left knee.
    V-Mart also needs ACL reconstructive surgery, and won't undergo that for another 6-8 weeks. He has been ruled out for the 2012 season and might not be ready to begin his long road of rehab until the middle or end of this summer -- which could also affect his readiness for 2013. He batted .330/.380/.470 with 12 home runs and 103 RBI in 145 games last season for the Tigers.
    Sounds like it was worse than everyone thought.
