With Detroit playing great, and possibly being the hottest team, has Miguel Cabrera pulled up to the Boston trio, Bautista, and Granderson in the MVP race?

too many people in the world think verlander is the mvp, to give fatty cabs any decent amount of votes.

he absolutely should get votes. im surprised at how low he is [in comparison] in war though. however, if you consider the combination of winning, and importance to the lineup... cabrera is probably more valuable than the rest of the hitters in the conversation. granderson has cano... ellsbury, ortiz, gonzalez and pedroia have each other... and bautista hasnt played a meaningful game since june. does avila or vmart really fall into the same conversation as any of the other complimentary players?

Cabrera should be a top 3 candidate but everyone is on the Verlander wagon. People keep stating the Tigers record when Verlander starts but the record when Cabrera starts is a game higher or at least last I checked which was last week.
