Mike Maroth gave up four runs in five innings versus the Twins today to fall to 4-2 on the season.
That's more normal. Maroth walked and struck out three while yielding nine hits. He entered the game with a 1.78 ERA and still sports a tidy 2.55 even after today's rough start. We'd say he's a sell-high candidate, but is there really anyone in your league who thinks this start is for real?
Not a great start, and the beginning screamed fluke. However, facing Johan Santana (6 no-hit innings) can't be good for any player's blood-pressure level and no pitcher can be great every game.
