Shawn Chacon impressed in his audition to be traded tonight, limiting the Nationals to two runs on seven hits over seven innings.
He walked two and struck out five at RFK Stadium tonight. Chacon is one of the more likely starting pitchers to be dealt before the trading deadline. The Rangers, Padres, Giants, and Devil Rays are reportedly interested, and the Yankees were rumored to have a deal close to done last week.
The Rockies can get value for this guy as he has been a noticeable bit better outside of Coors than inside the pitcher's hell in Colorado. The Rockies are still too young and too far away to compete, so why not get some prospects for him on a good year? Where is Chacon going?
