Manny Corpas (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery on September 8.
The surgery was expected, and now it's been confirmed with a date being set. Corpas will probably miss all of the 2011 season unless he makes a quicker-than-expected recovery.
Corpas had a great '07 season, which he was handsomely rewarded for, but has been below average ever since. He has saved just five games since then and doesn't even look like the same player. Hopefully he can come close to form after surgery and be a dominate setup guy.
