    Rockies Giambi comes back!

I read that he is signing for $1.5 million with the Rocks! Not a bad deal for them, they still have Helton, but Giambi played a big role in their success last season. Good small contract signing here.

I love it. They let go of Marquis despite every team he's ever pitched for has made the playoffs, but they keep Giambi, who never won a World Series in any one of his years with the Yankees, and coincidentally, they finally won #27 a year after he departed.

Yes, it was all dependent on Marquis last year, and now we're doomed because of Giambi.

Marquis was pretty mediocre after the All Star Game, and Giambi was clutch.

Not the worst move, but that is a pretty big gamble for a mid-market team to take after Giambi had one really good month after many many bad months. I think the contract ended up being worth 1.75 million.
