With the exception of Jeff Francis being good the rest of the rotation is just plain mediocre and you cannot rely on them from start to start.

Cook has had two good performances in his last two starts , but before that there was 2 bad performances. Hirsch had 1 good performance in his last start on July 2nd, but prior to that he had 3 poor ones. It is just the consistency of the starts. When a starter can string together like 5 or more good performances in a row, Like say Jeremy Guthrie of the Orioles has done this season then you are getting somewhere.
I really like this Rockies team. I think it is the best lineup since the Blake Street Bombers. Hopefully you guys can find a way to keep Helton.
Anyhow, welcome rockiesfan4ever!
I love Coors Fieldand go there quite a bit. Its the closest field to me so it is my home ballpark. Probably the nicest field I have ever seen too.
Lucky I live in Missouri so I have to watch on MLB Extra Innings

Ublando looked good when he beat the Padres

Anyone looks good beating the Padres. Heck just think about this, Rockies could make the playoffs and knock out the Pads. 53-51 would not do much in the American league but with the NL West it could be a wildcard contender.
KBSL - Atlanta Hawks
Arizona gm - MSL
You mean in the NL it's a wildcard contender?
The NL West is the best division the NL has to offer.
I mean, the 4th place team is a wild card contender....

Welcome to the site Bowzer! If you need anything at all, don't be afraid to ask. Even if you need me to help you find Rockies fans, I am all for it!
Welcome
First off, welcome to the site Bowzer.
Second off, the NL West has made huge strides but I still don't know how it stacks up against the AL Central...the disparity between the AL and NL has closed this year but it's definitely still there. The Rockies are definitely on the upswing though which is good to see.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
Thanks for the Welcomes.
The NL West more than stacks up against the AL Central especially considering how the White Sox and Royals are playing this year. The Twins aren't up to their regular level (I see a big slump coming for them). The NL West offers 4 formidable teams (The Rockies are one of the hottest teams in baseball going 36-24 over their last 60 games). Now does that rule in the fact that the AL is a better overall league than the NL? Hell no. But I don't think the gap is that big.
