Who's the Better Prospect

I would have to say Felix Hernandez, He's 19 and could already be an Ace in the big leagues. He has 4 Plus pitches, and 2 Plus Plus pitches. I'd take him over Mauer any second.

Felix Hernandez is the best pitching prospect to come up in a while, if he breaks the prospect being hurt curse that would be the Mariners Achilles Heel. He will be the better prospect.

Mauer is older but keeps having these nagging injuries.

I like them both but I think Hernandez will be an ace and Mauer may end up a full time DH.

I could make an argument for Mauer. He's not that much older(21 or 22, I believe) and his first real injury problems were last year.

We all know what happens to highly touted young pitchers when they turn 21...

I'm with Witlon, an argument COULD be made for Mauer. But I'm lazy, so I'll take the easy way out and go with Felix. It's hard to find a 19 year old with great command over 3 pitches, and good command over another 2. Plus, I actually do think Felix has the higher ceiling, but I think Mauer will be a big time player too.

I'd say he's a rookie all over again for this year. Don't forget..he battled kidney stones last year, also.

I agree with the part on Mauer. If he finds away though to stay healthy and behind the plate... a guy who can hit like that playing catcher is pretty darn rare.

Case for Mauer could definitely be made, but overall Hernandez is, as of right now, the better prospect.
