Dodger prospect Andrew Lambo has been suspended 50 games for violating baseball's drug policy, per Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times. Hernandez also notes the suspension was for a "drug of abuse."
The Dodgers released an official statement:
The Dodgers are disappointed to learn of this news and we fully support Major League Baseball’s drug policy and its penalties. The organization does not condone the use of any substance not sanctioned by MLB’s medical staff.
Lambo, voted by TBLA readers as the sixth-best Dodger prospect this offseason, was hitting .342/.390/.566 for Double A Chattanooga.
