The Indians traded Jody Gerut after a 6-2 Rain 5 inning win over the Royals for Cubs outfielder Jason Dubois

Gerut 44gms 1HR 12RBIs 12R .357 Obp .275 batting avg.

Dubois 52gms 7HR 22RBIs 15R .289OBp .239 avg.

The Indians have been looking for a right handed bat and they finally got it in 6-5 220 pound Jason Dubois. He hit 31HRs in Triple A last year

I gotta say i like the move . We needed a right handed bat and Jody was expendable due to Grady and Coco blowing up.

I hope Gerut gets on track in Chicago, he's had a bit of a tough time. Dubois stats look horrible, but a change of scenery and players can do a lot for a guy and Dubois is still young enough to improve. I hope for the Indians sake, he does.

Yep I definitely like this deal for both sides though. gerut has shown some signs of solid ball, but he has a hurt right leg right now. Dubois looks to have the bigger numbers right now though, so hopefully he pans out as well.

At first I was a bit skeptical, but now it seems like a pretty good trade. Gerut wasnt really going to do much here and DuBois has potential to be the big right handed bat we want.
