It turns out Santana suffered just a knee sprain. Ugh, false Joe Theismann alarm.

Santana will undergo surgery to repair his LCL. He will be out for the rest of the season and, hopefully, he'll be able to return to full-time duty next spring. Recovery and rehab usually takes between 4-6 months.
