Thats his 4th HR this spring and his 10th RBI. He is on fire already! Anyone want to get on the bandwagon? I truly hope Narron will.

Get on the bandwagon? I would hope everyone here already is. The great debate begins in the head of Mr. Jerry Narron though.
Does production carry more weight than scrappy vet instinct?
Can helping your team be more valuable than "knowing" how to win?
All this and more as Jerry Narron continues to search for a brain.
EdE just made an error that allowed a run to score, so i'm sure the debate has just concluded in narron's head. A veteran would have made that play, so the choice is obvious.
i've been reading some red sox boards and everyone up here is equally pissed at francona's love for veterans. I wonder what it is about all these managers. I mean, i'm sure there's something to what they're talking about, but there just seems to be such an incongruity with GMs. All the GMs are clinging to prospects more and more as teams like the twins have shown you can compete with a good farm system, but managers keep refusing to play the prospects in favor of wiley washed up vets.

i am just about ready for the bandwagon, I really hope that this Spring means something, because if it does, wow, just wow... but i will wait until the regular season before i jump on the bandwagon.
*looks at sig*
Yep, I'm on the bandwagon.
I do not have access today to listen to the game for some reason, but I read somewhere that edE hit another HR.
Can anyone confirm?
Yep. He hit a long HR off Ian Snell of the Pirates in the 2nd inning. Two-run HR I believe.Originally Posted by redsrbetter

For comparison's sake, consider that the top Reds home run total last spring was four, shared by Dunn (23 games), Randa (22 games) and Stratton (13 games)."
Marc Lancaster also noted that Jerry Narron has said that Ede's defense is improved this spring, despite the miscue in yesterday's game.
I just hope he saves some for the regular season. Kearns had a crazy spring last year and then immediately collapsed when the seasons started.

Thanks DK. Man, this guy is not human right now. I wonder if it even can continue. Go EdE!
One thing we have to say though. He may be tearing into pitchers that are just getting started. Although he did hit a few off The Unit and Radke. That is something that is never easy to do.
What spot in the lineup has EdE been hitting out of? Anyone know?
Usually clean up or the 5th spot.
It's actually pretty damn easy to do. They both give up a ton of homers.Although he did hit a few off The Unit and Radke. That is something that is never easy to do.
Narron gives props:
"He's showing he's a little bit better hitter than that," Narron said. "I think he's going to be a middle of the order guy, I really do. You're talking about a young kid here. He's got some growing to do. The big thing is if he's going to be an RBI guy that drives in runs from the middle of the order, that's something we have to find out."

EdE better be the starter.
