Votto drawing more walks still, nice. Also, is this the return of Basham? I know he is a bit old for the level but who knows, he has had some nice starts of late (from what I have seen.) Gotta love it when anyone in this system has a game with more than 5 K's (just goes to show how sad the state of this system is.)

Article in Post about Jay Bruce:

    Signee, Reds rub shoulders
    By Kevin Goheen
    Post staff reporter

Martha Bruce walked into a room in her Beaumont, Texas, home one day about six years ago to find her son Jay searching the Internet. He was looking for an e-mail address for Ken Griffey Jr., his favorite baseball player.

"She told him she didn't know if he'd be able to do that," said Joe Bruce, Martha's husband and Jay's father. "She went back a little later and he's got the phone trying to call Ken. Our phone bill was pretty high. He never did get the right number."

Jay Bruce has plenty of money to pay back mom and dad after the 18-year-old signed a contract with the Reds on Friday that includes a $1.8 million signing bonus just three days after the club took him with the 12th overall pick in the amateur draft. Bruce, a centerfielder, expects to report to Sarasota of the Rookie Gulf Coast League next week.

I like seeing Kozlowski getting a strong start. I really hope he could be in the mix next year for the rotation.

I would think so mission. Hes 4-1 now with a ERA under 4. You would have to think that he should get the call to Louisville before the end of the year. Of course you also have to consider Dumatrait who is 1-7 but leads the southern league in ERA at 2.04.

Wow what a pathetic pitcher hes only 1-7, Im sure Dumatrait will be dealt sometime for another Milton because Milton won 14 games inspite of the rest of his numbers.

Man I remember doing this a lot when we traded Williamson for him. He may actually develop into something?

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games

Dumatrait's not a "proven winner" because he doesn't win games. He doesn't bring the "effort" and "presence" that Milton does.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
