Freel yes (for now), Felo definitely, Pena nope. Kearns is far better and is getting out of the early slump right now. Mentioned earlier that Kearns got two hits in his last game vs. the Stros, and then one last night. He is ready to go now.

My lineup to get things going:

Freel 2B (is doing better than Jiminez right now)
Griffey CF (I really like him here too and he started the year awesome in this spot)
Randa 3B (best hitter right now and could help score Freel if on second)
Kearns RF (Is starting to come around and can give protection to Randa)
Casey 1B (is still hitting the ball, but is in the grounder to 2B slump)
Dunn LF (I really liked his approach last night and he can clear the bases in this spot)
Lopez SS (better than Aurilia and is hitting the ball well)
LaRue C (good patience established last night, still has too many holes in his swing)
pitcher (needs to hit like the pitchers against us)

wouldn't casey do better at the number 4 or 5 spot? other for than that the lineup sounds pretty good to me.

I'm talking about a TEMP lineup here folks!

Casey batting 4th now doesn't seem the best place to have him during a major slump.

Lopez/LaRue need to be higher right now, IMO. Both are hitting well and have high OBP.

I'm just seeing how you think of this line up

Bat Dunn second when he is struggling? I don't think that's a good idea.

Bat Casey cleanup when he's struggling? I don't think that's a good idea.

Bat Randa that low when he's hitting well? I don't think that's a good idea.

Bat Lopez that low when he's hitting well? I don't think that's a good idea.

    That's what I'd do

BTW, I have a vested intrest in the Reds this year as I have a 50 dollar bet with another Padre fan that they'll win the NL Central. Don't dissapoint me
Pena batting second when he can't get on base? I don't think so.

Dunn batting 4th when struggling? I don't think so.

LaRue/Lopez batting that low when hitting so well? I don't think so.

LaRue has a .353 average and an OBP of over .400. Lopez has an OBP of over .500! They should be near the top.

Pena is still better than Kearns, will be better than Kearns, will always be better than Kearns, and Ill tell you if the Reds Trade WMP and keep kearns, i may switch my favorite team to what ever Team he goes to.... ok that is taking it too far, but the point is, if he is in the lineup everyday, I will bet you or anyone.. anything that Pena will put up better numbers than Kearns... in games in which Pena has started i have been more impressed by him(this and last year) than i have ever been with Kearns(this year, last year and the year before)

damn with all that said, Kearns just hit a big HR, I still think Pena is better

    A little off topic:

Dunn looked a little better last night.....he actually worked the count last night.

    Casey has 2 hits today

    Kearns hit a HR

    DJ has a couple hits

    the slump could be over

I agree Casey should bat, either 2nd, 3rd or 7th those spots would probally do us good he's a good clutch hitter he does get bases and homers not as much as dunn and the classic Griffey (here's to hoping the old Griffey comes back ) but casey at 4th or at 9th i don't think so that won't do
