1st and 2nd. EdE, you're in a close race for MVP right now. Get a hit.

Come on EdE! Man, we need this. Top of the order is due up for the Brew Crew. Weeks, Hall, Overbay. All Reds killers.
Boo, popout for EdE. Come on, Weathers. Shut 'em down.
Eddie put a big swing on that one but just missed it a bit.

Oh man, he just got under that one.
Lets go Weathers! Bring back what you had last inning. You have a huge task here.
Nicely done by Ray-Ray!
And the Reds win!
Weathers gets MVP. He was solid as a rock tonight.

Thank God nobody is on for Overbay. I have a bad feeling about this.
Weathers gets them to go 1-2-3, and this is why he's my MVP. He saved the game there, and I'm giving him the edge over EdE because of the stupid error for Edwin and his 6 men left on base.
Agreed Geki. With our Graves situation, it's been rare to see a reliever come in and look that solid against some tough AB's.Originally Posted by Geki Ace
Great game threads guys and a good game as the Reds inch closer to .500

Theres the win! Great game again tonight. A lot of excitement with it. omehow, Hudson started out shaky, but still got the quality start. Our offense is still scoring runs. Bullpen came in and made some innings look close, but the held the game to the same score. Another win and we are climbing fellas!
MVP: Weathers
Yeah, awesome thread tonight fellas! Have a great night!
I only heard from the 7th inning on after leaving the Bengals game, but I have a few comments/observations/thoughts:
*As I've been stating for some time, I still haven't given up on Hudson and I think he could be very solid if his control improves even a little bit. He is still too wild now, but I think he could improve it just a little bit and be very effective. He has such good stuff.
*Aurilia is terrible and is starting to fall off again after his little "hot streak". Have I mentioned before how much I can't stand him?
*Weathers continues to pitch well. I didn't think he would be as bad as he was at the beginning of the year, which is why I've tried to remain in his corner. He has been very good overall since the first couple of weeks or so of the season.
*Kearns is continuing to hit more. EdE is showing some power. Dunn continues to get on base more and more, even if he doesn't see as many pitches to hit when(stupidly) batting 6th(again). Casey has been a bit better lately. More Doubles and fewer DPs. LaRue continues to prove he is one of the most underrated players in MLB and justifies the position a few here have held about him over the last couple of years. Good to see Lopez break back out tonight. Hopefully he can continue to hit and Freel returns and does the same. Freel's OBP(despite his recent small slump) is still close to .400 on the season.
MVP: Weathers
Good game tonight! Let's keep winning!

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.
Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
