I agree that FeLo would have made the play. He wouldnt have bobbled the ball b/c he wouldnt have had to dive to get it. The only positive with the end of the game is that it was clearly Weathers best appearance this year. Of course take that for what its worth. Tomorrow is a big game. We need to come out and have a chance to still win the series on Sunday. Cant wait to see what happens.

It would be pretty stupid if that is what they said..but it wasn't. You were not listening well. They said that when Griffey last hit a homer off Clemens that Clemens had not yet won his 300Th and Griffey had not Yet hit 500.

I believe that to be correct.

Miley isn't quite as stupid as you thought. Apparently there was no double steal on as evidence by this quote from Ryan Freel:

"I really wasn't supposed to go," Freel said. "But I thought I had a chance [to score]. It was a perfect throw. It was one of those things where I made a mistake."

Also, given the fact that Weathers pitched a scoreless inning, it doesn't really look like a stupid decision either. I like the fact that even though Weathers and Weber is struggling, Miley continues to show confidence in them. Pitchers definitely like to know that their coach believes in them.

I apoligize to Miley. I thought he wanted Freel to go home.

It appears Freel is the stupid one. That cost us the game...that plus bonehead Belisle throwing fastballs down the pipe to Clemens instead of throwing that great curve that everyone was chasing.

    Glad we could agree

I agree that it was Freels fault, even if Miley would have called it. When they showed the angle of Freel, he hesitated. He should know on that that if you hesitate, you should stay. Just a bad decision on his part with 1 & 3 with what would be one out with the Griffey K.

Yep horrible decision on Freel's part. I hate that we finally lost a game, but we haven't lost the series. Tonight we need to come back strong and execute flawlessly. I want to see Felo back in and we need Kearns to start hitting. These two things are important for tonight's game.

I did not get to see the game at all lat night, and as I went to start the archive, I accidently saw the final score. So I just checked the box and then came here. From what it looks like, it was not a horribly pitched game at all. Belisle had an off day, but other than that our pitching seemed to have an effect. Randa hit another homer! Dunn got two hits. Freel got a pinch hit. If only he didn't try and steal home, we could have won it. Ok so we have one loss, lets get it back tonight.
