It's one thing to go against conventional wisdom occationally, especially when it's successful is fine. But to go way outside of the box, every day, to have it fail 90% of the time is just bad managing,

If you're asked to manage a group of people, and sure your end product works, but you broke a bunch of things, wasted more than was nessrsary, and it's because you decided to put the wrong people in wrong situations, the owner/your boss would ask for your resignation.
Seriously.... I have to know.... How, when you're facing a STUD left hand pitcher, do you not only sit Brandon Phillips who LOVEs to face leftys, and bat JAY BRUCE 3rd!
Bruce Bats .247 vLHP
Phillips bats .302 vLHP
Good Job Dusty! Another GREAT MANAGER DECISION!
What a terrible manager dusty is. Leading us to the NL central title and all..
I think the squad had a little more to do with it.
League Team Record Wild Card Division Pennants Titles MSL Kansas City Royals (NYY/TB) 3611-3517 1 14 8 7 TBL Cleveland Indians 1084-698 2 5 2 1 HSL Chicago Cubs 2071-1764 1 9 4 1
Obviously. But it's not like he's doing anything to hinder the team winning.
I think there were a lot of terrible managerial moves early in the season that the reds overcame and some they didn't. I believe there are a few bonehead moves that cost is some games early. This team is very well constructed. But I fear he's going to cost us a playoff game.
That said, I wish him a speedy recovery.
There is no excuse for the pathetic display of game management that we have witnessed in Game 5.
First leaving Latos in a couple batters too long in a do or die game to give up a grand slam to the likely NL MVP with a fresh pen... Stupid.
But there is NO EXCUSE for this one. None, anyone who tries to defend this needs their head checked. Runners first and second down by THREE runs no outs, full count on Hanigan a guy who has made his career on just getting on base and you decide to send the NON TYING/NON LEAD runners to run us out of what may have been the best chance we had at getting past your other MAJOR blunder.
Absolute best case scenario Hanigan rips a double and you are looking at STILL needing ANOTHER hit JUST TO TIE it. Stupid decision!
If the Reds find some way to come back Dusty needs to take another sebaticle from managing and watch the game from the owner's box after this pathetic attempt at game managing.
I hope after this he decides he needs away from baseball for his health because mine can't take him any more in the playoffs. He is so absolutely outclassed come playoff time. His teams are about to be 1-11 in his last 12 series clinching games.

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games
