Yep CRF, right on with Valentin all year. Personally, I am happy that Moeller is up. Not that Moeller is good oranything, but if he can call a better game, more power to him. And dislike most here, I like Valentin as a left-handed bat off the bench.

Hopefully Narron is fired. But I see a lot of people talking about it and Krivsky shouted a big negative our way. I don't see it coming honestly. Which tells me a lot about how Krivsky views managerial talent. Bad, very bad.

I really don't know if its such a statement on Krivsky and managerial talent or Krivsky in general. Obvious by the LTC's he gives out and the way he likes to bring in former Twins, he has serious loyalty, and him and Narron are supposedly very close friends.... in a job like being a GM, loyalty like that is probably not the best quality to have unless your buddies are the Super Friends.

I wish Krivsky would become chummy with Girardi or something then. I definitely agree with you here mission.

I would think that the Reds could become a little more professional than that though. Krivsky is Narron superior no matter how you see it. Fraternizing with your subordinates should be uncalled for when it comes to GM/manager relationships. This is what ends up happening. You get too comfortable with your coworker and when it comes time to make a decision on whether or not it is best for your business to keep him, you let your heart get in the way and you start considering his feelings too much.

This is just a bad part on Krivsky IMO if it is actually the case.

I've heard some awful things about Girardi, that was Beinfest's success. I think Girardi would be nothing but trouble from all that's been said from Marlins fans.

This wont happen, and I hated it when he bitc hed towards the end of his career. But, what about a guy like Barry Larkin who is already a 'special' asst. for ole leather pants in D.C. Im sure it wont happen but that would be the kind of dramatic shakeup that could rev some interest for the already dwindling fan interest.

Harang was hitting 92-94 in the first, struck out Gonzalez on 94 mph heat. (I know there was concern over his velocity.)

Stadium gun could be off though I guess.

Harang looked MUCH better last night.

The velocity was way up and he wasn't falling off much.

Hopefully it was just a dead arm period for a while there.

Harang getting mutilated today after that brief lull last time.

I am not watching, but if CBS is right, his fastball has been from about 88-90 mph.

If he's not injured, his pitching is simply scary bad, which is not good.

As of right now, his ERA is 4.94 and rising steadily.

Not the stopper we needed today in trying to take this series.

In completely unrelated news, apparently Will Carroll said on ESPN's fantasy chat that there have been whispers regarding Harang's elbow.

Back to your regularly scheduled program.

To clarify Carroll's comments, here is the exchange:

"Brad, Columbus OH: I am hearing rumors about Aaron Harang and elbow issues. Any truth to this?

Will Carroll: I have heard the rumors and tried to see if there's any fire behind the smoke, but have yet to see any flames."

It continues to amaze me that Hopper bats second, that Moeller starts when we have other options and that the team continues to make such dumb mistakes.

The organization needs to address this right away. I haven't been able to realy watch thegame today, but he has given up a lot of hits already. I truly hope he will be ok. But if not, we can kiss this season good bye.

He still has some good peripherals but my scouting of him in most of his recent starts reveals some alarming trends in his pitching.

Yep, you mentioned this a few starts ago. You may have been one of the first to notice it. Awesome!

Now Harang is out after 5.0 IP. Something has to be going on.
