You are right about that in that I wasn't even thinking about Colorado. They are now my last team in. It is VERY close for those last three or four teams in and those first four to six teams out right now. You could make a case for most of them.

Everything will probably get resolved by the end of the weekend or certainly by the end of the conference tournies next weekend, although everything will be even tougher tomorrow if UAB upsets Memphis. They would have to be heavily considered at that point.

in looking back at A&Ms schedule...I am more impressed with them. They only have two losses to non-NCAA teams (I am assuming Pacific is in):

    at Kansas State
    at Oklahoma State

away from home conference losses are expected....I would darn near say they are a lock as long as they don't lose to Texas Tech and then lose in the 1st rd of the conference tournament

I would agree with that assessment of A&M.

In my final bracket move for the evening, I added Seton Hall back in over Colorado.

If UAB wins tomorrow night, they will replace Seton Hall in all likelyhood.

I know we could find flaws nearly anywhere, but I just love this time of year....I decided to go see about Florida State. They have what I would say as three bad losses (all within their conference):

    at Clemson (by 6)
vs Miami (by 6) ...not really a terrible loss as they are on the bubble too
    at Va Tech (by 11)

what is interesting is how well they have played ranked teams despite losing:
    at Florida (by 8)
    at BC (by 3)
    vs UNC (by 1)
    at Duke (by 1)

at NC State (by 22) that is a yucker

I wonder if this is something that the committee would look at, especially since State just beat Duke. Not quite as compelling as A&M, but interesting none-the-less

The committee doesn't usually consider margin of victory/defeat. That is something computed by the Sagarin formula but not part of the RPI or any other tool I know of that is looked at by the committee.

I figured I'd post these interesting stats. from the "Big East Blog" regarding UC's Big East road schedule this year, as pointed out by the Post's Bearcats beat guy.

Expect an updated bracket after this Memphis/UAB game ends:

"Was reading over at the Big East blog and they had an interesting stat -- in conference, UC has the toughest road schedule. The teams they've played on the road in confernece -- Marquette, UConn, Louisville, Georgetown, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Syracuse -- have a combined home record of 42-9. Five of the places they've played, the home team is either undefeated or have just one home loss in Big East play. Marquette is one of those five teams, and UC beat them at Marquette, something UConn, Georgetown and Pittsburgh were unable to do. FYI, Seton Hall is 4-3 at home in Big East play"

That's exactly why Syrcause is now among my last four teams in. They might not stay there long if they lose at home vs. Villanova and other teams on the bubble win.

Suck it Memphis. I don't want them to get a #1 seed. Conference USA is teh suck.

Memphis is still on my number 1 seed line for now because of what the teams just behind them on the S-Curve have done lately.

1-2 actually. They lost yesterday, and split two today.

Who wants to give an over/under on how many times ESPN shows Bob Huggins at UC's game vs. WVU today?

I'm going with eight chats with him and 75 shots of him, for a total of 83 appearances.

I'm going with "not as many times as they'd show him if he was still coach".

And he should still be coach.

Wow, they only showed Huggins about 10 times.

    Go UC!

It looks like a 15th straight NCAA Tournament appearance. What an exciting game!
