It got tough for some fans to take 15 straight years of one of the worst franchises in sports. I can't get too upset at those who couldn't take it after a while.

Anyway, nice win today, although our offense could have done better. Palmer didn't have his best game and Rudi didn't run particularly well.

yeah it was a good game for TJ. CJ was getting beat up the whole game..

anyone worried about Baltimore next week? I know the bengals defense will have a great time getting INT's from Wright but do you think Lewis will be healthy for the game? I think the D will be better and hopefully CJ will have a good game but Mccallister will likely be guarding him and he's really good so it shall be a good game.. Who Dey!

It could certainly be a pretty low scoring game. I expect it to be a close game. I'm not making a pick until I see all of the injury prognosis reports, etc.

Hey gang, Wally has posted a quality article which you can find here. An article with the subject matter such as he wrote about you would expect that the Reds would likely make the worst of one of the lists (although I suppose that is more due to general pessimism than logical thinking in regards to this.) Either way, interesting stuff and well worth you taking the two seconds to hit the rep button for our friend Wally.

I wanted to post this heads up now to my fellow Reds fans, as I'm very concerned about these ominous discussions coming from the National Weather Service about the potential of Severe Weather in the Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana area tomorrow evening/night. This could be very serious, as the wording and terminology is not usually this strong unless the threat is high, as NWS is a government owned corporation and can't mess around with this stuff.

This comes from the Louisville NWS discussion from earlier this morning:

...ACTIVE WX OVER THE NEXT 48 HOURS...SIGNIFICANT SEVERE WX EVENT
    POSSIBLE TUESDAY AFTN/EVE...

    .LONG TERM (TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY)...

MAJOR FOCUS IN THE LONG TERM WILL BE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PERIOD
WITH A POSSIBLE SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY
    TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

LATEST SUITE OF 00Z MODEL DATA IS IN RELATIVELY GOOD AGREEMENT
TONIGHT. THE GFS SOLUTION HAS HAD GOOD RUN TO RUN CONTINUITY OVER
THE PAST FEW DAYS WITH BRINGING A VERY STRONG UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE DOWN OUT OF CANADA AND THEN SHUNTING THROUGH THE GREAT
LAKES. ASSOCIATED SFC CYCLONE WILL THEN MOVE FROM THE CENTRAL
PLAINS INTO THE GREAT LAKES WHILE SWINGING A STRONG COLD FRONT
THROUGH THE REGION TUESDAY AFTERNOON/EVE. THE 00Z NAM SOLUTION HAS
COME AROUND TONIGHT AND IS ALSO GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE GFS SOLUTION.
INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH...THIS OVERALL EVENT LOOKS SIMILAR TO THE
    NOVEMBER 2002 OUTBREAK.

TUESDAY/TUESDAY NIGHT...SFC WARM FRONT PROGGED BY BOTH THE GFS AND
NAM TO BE ALONG OR JUST NORTH OF THE OHIO RIVER BY 12 TUE. WARM
FRONT WILL QUICKLY LIFT NORTHWARD INTO NORTHERN INDIANA AND SOUTHERN
MICHIGAN BY AFTERNOON. THIS WILL RESULT IN THE ENTIRE FCST AREA
BEING IN THE WARM SECTOR DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA BY
AFTERNOON. THOUGH MUCH OF THIS ACTIVITY WILL BE DEPENDENT ON
AVAILABLE PBL FORCING AND THE AMOUNT OF CAPPING. A QUICK LOOK AT
THE BUFKIT DATA FROM THE GFS AND NAM RUNS THIS EVENING SHOW A WEAKLY
CAPPED ATMOSPHERE TUESDAY AFTERNOON. SHOULD STRONG FORCING BE
PRESENT AND STORMS GET GOING...THE WOULD QUICKLY BECOME SEVERE WITH
ISOLATED TORNADOES POSSIBLE GIVEN THE AMOUNT OF SHEAR INDICATED THE
FORECAST HODOGRAPHS. MAIN SEVERE WEATHER MODE WILL THEN SHIFT TO A
LINEAR PROGRESSIVE SQUALL LINE ACCOMPANYING THE FRONT LATE TUE
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. GIVEN IMPRESSIVE WIND FIELDS...A DAMAGING
WIND EVENT APPEARS LIKELY. ACCORDINGLY...SPC HAS OUTLINED THE
ENTIRE FCST AREA IN A MODERATE RISK FOR TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT.

The Storm Prediction Center discussion paints a very onimous picture too:

...PORTIONS OF THE LOWER/MIDDLE MS VALLEY...TN AND OH VALLEYS
    THROUGH SRN GREAT LAKES...

RICH BOUNDARY LAYER MOISTURE WITH UPPER 60S DEWPOINTS NOW RESIDING
FROM SERN TX THROUGH THE LOWER MS VALLEY WILL ADVECT NWD TONIGHT
INTO TUESDAY ALONG STRENGTHENING LOW LEVEL JET. BY EARLY TUESDAY
AFTERNOON DEWPOINTS IN THE MID 60S WILL BE POSSIBLE AS FAR N AS SRN
IL AND SRN IND. THIS WILL CONTRIBUTE TO A FAIRLY LARGE PRE-FRONTAL
WARM SECTOR WITH MLCAPE FROM AROUND 2000 J/KG OVER THE LOWER MS
VALLEY TO AOB 800 J/KG OVER THE OH VALLEY. LOW LEVEL JET WILL
STRENGTHEN TO AOA 60 KT WITHIN EXIT REGION OF UPPER JET AS IT LIFTS
NEWD FROM THE LOWER MS VALLEY INTO THE OH VALLEY AND GREAT LAKES.
THIS WILL CONTRIBUTE TO VERY LARGE HODOGRAPHS...ESPECIALLY FROM NRN
PARTS OF THE LOWER MS VALLEY INTO PARTS OF THE TN AND OH VALLEYS.
STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AND INTENSIFY ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE
FRONT AS THE ATMOSPHERE DESTABILIZES. ACTIVITY MAY BE ONGOING
INITIALLY OVER THE LOWER MS VALLEY...THEN SPREADING NEWD DURING THE
DAY. POTENTIAL WILL EXIST FOR SUPERCELLS AS WELL AS LINES CONTAINING
LEWP/BOW ECHO STRUCTURES CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WIND AND A
FEW TORNADOES. GIVEN THE FAVORABLE KINEMATIC PROFILES AND POTENTIAL
FOR DISCRETE STORMS TO DEVELOP AWAY FROM THE FRONT WITHIN THE WARM
SECTOR...ISOLATED STRONG TORNADOES MAY ALSO BE POSSIBLE.

Next...the Possibility Of Severe Weather Tuesday. We Will Spend The
Day In The Warm Sector With Juicy Unstable Air. Time Height Cross
Sections Indicate Partial Sunshine Will Be Possible By Early
Afternoon. As The Sun Comes Out And Stirs Up The Atmosphere Some
Storms May Bubble Up...and Could Become Severe. However...the Main
Show Appears To Be Associated With A Pre-frontal Squall Line That Is
Expected To Sweep Across The Entire Region Ahead Of A Cold Front
Tuesday Evening. The Line Of Powerful Storms Should Begin To Affect
Western Areas Of The Lmk Cwfa Between 4 And 6 Pm Cst...and Exit The
Blue Grass Between Midnight And 2am Est. Wind Will Be The Big Threat
With This Line Of Storms As The Low Level Jet Increases. Winds At
850 Hpa...about 5000 Feet Above Ground...are Progged By Both The
Mesoeta And Gfs To Be In The 60 To 70 Knot Range Tuesday Evening.
Also...isolated Tornadoes Will Be Possible As Well In Both Discrete
Supercells That Form Ahead Of The Squall Line And Also In The Line
Itself...as Mesoeta And Gfs Bring 0-3km Helicity Values To Around

These parts especially stood out to me and let me know how serious this could be tomorrow evening/night. When the NWS/Storm Prediction Center uses this type of wording, things need to be taken VERY seriously:

    Severe Thunderstorms
Capable Of Strong To Violent Tornadoes And Widespread Damaging Winds
Will Be Possible Across These Areas...

Expect a Tornado Watch by 3 PM EST for OH/KY/IN, according to the Storm Prediction Center. It is possible the watch will be a PDS Tornado Watch, which stands for Particularly Dangerous Situation Tornado Watch. The situation is serious.

Only in Ohio where you can have the potential for Tornadoes and terrible snowstorms all in the same time frame. Variety is the spice of life and Ohio weather sure resembles it.

I hope all remains safe though.

We've gotten lucky in the Cincy/Dayton/Lexington metro areas, as the storms have started to die down(although a few are still severe) as they've moved into the area. We just missed a large number of very serious tornadic storms that hit and caused a lot of damage, injuries and sadly a few deaths off to our west.

I'll be at the Bengals/Colts game on Sun. at 4:15 for the biggest game since the '90 playoffs. I'll be in the upper section on the Bengals sideline around the 40-yard line. It is going to be rocking and I'm so excited! Who-Dey!!!

That's awesome man. I might be watching the game likely with a bunch of friends who are planning a huge pre-Thanksgiving vacation bash in honor of the Bengals game. Have fun dude.
