In all the years I've been watching games at Wrigley, I have never seen that before. I was amazed when it happened.

I would love to see him play more than just 10 games because I want to see what this kid has got. I have been following him ever since Posey went down and went on the hunt for catchers. I have heard nothing but good things about this kid and definitely would like to see the sneak preview.Reds purchased the contract of C Devin Mesoraco from Triple-A Louisville.
Mesoraco, 23, is widely regarded as one of the top catching prospects in the sport and should already be owned in most keeper leagues. The only question is, how much will he play during September? With Ryan Hanigan and Ramon Hernandez around, our guess is he'll only play around 10 games or so. Still, this should be a pretty fun sneak preview for 2012.
I still do not understand why the Reds kept Hernandez, who would have had value to contending teams.

I think they signed him long term in case Madson decides not stay.
He sure is making a lot for a setup man.
Good deal. He'll be worth it.

Castro, 25, batted .306/.343/.354 with zero homers and 30 RBI in 98 games last year in the Reds' minor league system. He'll act as organizational depth for Chicago.
