Its pretty sad when a guy as unproven as Jorge de la Rosa gets a deal close to a proven guy like Arroyo. Seems like a fair deal and the length is good too. Its also sad that their closer makes more than himReds signed RHP Bronson Arroyo to a three-year, $35 million contract extension.
Just in time for Reds Fest, which is taking place this weekend in Cincinnati. Arroyo, 33, finished the 2010 season with a 17-10 record, a 3.88 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP over 33 starts. He's found a comfort zone in the light-hitting National League Central and should continue to flourish over the length of the contract.
