A guy calling on WLW thinks Johnny Bench might be contacted as Manager!(He heard "rumblings" that he may be contacted on a "golf course")

We need to avoid the hometown boys unless they truly are among the best (which BEnch is NOT). With our franchise having such a past enshrined in glory don't we once deserve the talent running the team and making the moves to match the legacy we once had? Quality people. Not the cheap options or ones merely made because of the name that might put butts in the seats.

The BRM managment was brought together and not "home grown". 90 Lou came in and brought the WS but it was basically rose's team that he put together.

Has Rose been cleared to manage yet J/K. The main reason I wish theyd go ahead and fire O'Brien is so they can start looking for GMs and when they get one and tell him get your guy to be the manager. And again give him full control of the staff.

Yeah. I don't want Bench. We need someone who has NO ties to the team and no biases. Hopefully Allen dumps O'Brien on Thursday or over the ASB. Then we can have Kullman running the firesale again and the team can search for a Manager/GM outside the organization.

Willy doesn't like Dunn's attitude and he wants Narron to bench players within games who don't hustle for balls, etc.

I'm not so sure I would want Kullman running the firesale a second time. Of the guys we got for the first one only Harang and Claussen have had any type of positive impact on the team so far (and just how much is debatable).

I'd rather have Kullman running it than O'Brien. We're not going to be able to hire a full-time GM in time for the firesale, so I'd rather have Kullman than O'Brien for sure.

Anyway, I think being under the pressure he was that Kullman did a decent job. Boone has been awful lately(got Claussen for him), and Harang(although slipping) has been our best starter.

We weren't going to get huge things for most of the relievers we traded.

I think Kullman did a decent job with his constraints.

I agree CRF. Kullman did a fine job for stepping in midway with little experience and he got some decent returns (much better than what OB has brought in.)

In danger of being labeled a conspiracy theorist, I'm going to state that Miley really only cared about ONE thing:

TAKING CARE OF THE PLAYERS IN TERMS OF PLAYING TIME

That was his philosophy and what he used in the minor leagues, where winning is second fiddle to player development and recuperation. He never bent from that philosophy, and I strongly feel he KNEW that he wasn't the right fit for manager.
