At Weathers age, I don't think too many teams were willing to give a multiyear deal. Good for the Reds that Weathers is staying though.Free agent David Weathers has accepted the Reds' offer of arbitration, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
So there's one surprise after all. It looked like Weathers would get a multiyear deal after another nice season in 2008, but his market apparently hadn't come together as hoped. He'll probably end up receiving about $3.5 million in a one-year deal with the Reds.
