WOW! What a finish. I absolutely went nuts at work. I called it to. I told one of the guys that works with me that Kearns would get a basehit followed by a Dunn HR. But I did not see the walk off from Randa coming.

Thing is outside of the homers and the end, this was not an awesome game. No doubt that I will take the outcome, and I know we will se worse. But Pedro simply owned us outside the first inning. Way too many strike outs today. I do not want to be the one to blow the excitement, but I hope Miley at least lets it be none that he won't take that much longer. Contact is much needed from this crew and hopefully it was a game that just things going. I want to see more comfort Wednesday from these players. We are 1-0 and in order to get to 2-0 we have to see some hits. Also our bullpen got hit around quite a bit as well. So here is for better things to come. Go Reds!

A couple of comments from todays game:

    1) Dunn really needs to work on his swing, he strikes out too much
    2) I really think that EdE should have been starting today, Randa should have been on the bench
    3) Seriously though, I am worried about Weathers

1 down 161 to go....Reds are in first. That finish was awesome

Well, I'm hearing that Pedro was consistantly at 94-95 against the Reds. Was this true?

If so, a nice **** you out to Pedro. I appreciate immensely his contribution, but the fact that he couldn't break 90 in Boston unless he was in the playoffs is asinine in comparison. Freaking Roger Clemens.

Yep he was consistant around 93-95 range. He was phenomenal today after the first inning.

    Oh, I did and I do. (:

    Dunn was great today too.

Wilson was not spectacular, but he was gritty and solid overall.

Weathers was the only major negative today. Mercker was kind of put in a tough spot, and I think he'll be OK.

If Weathers has nother bad trip out next time, I can definitely see someone from Louisville replacing him.
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

agreed CRF. But I think it will take a few more bad trips first instead of just one more. But you could be right. Hopefully Gully can work something out with him quickly.
