Freel broke up the no-no in the 6th.

Boo, why does he have to make me sad? Wells had a chance too.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

This is encouraging for me. Not because they are beating the Reds (that's nice though), rather because both pitchers have done very well against a potent offense.

Mercker is now having trouble getting outs. Manny bomb, Nixon single, Olerud double.

Hm, just looked online, and the Value Over Replacement Player statistic on BP named Eric Milton as the least valuable player with baseball, supposedly being 23.9 runs worse then a replacement level player! Congrats.

    Damn, that hurts.

i'd rather a no hitter than that pathetic game. jeez it only seems to get worse right when you think you can see the light in the tunnel.

At least it wasn't some crappy bloop hit, it was an actual hit.

Good call. It wasnt a bunt. Of course we wouldnt have Bob Brenly to talk about if it was.

This team continues to sink lower and lower almost every single day. Sigh.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Yep. Whats really frustrating CRF is when we see how the team plays sometimes. Like you look at playing Baltimore and thats how we expected the team to play all year. But then they come out and lay eggs against Boston. It would be easier on us if the team just sucked and didnt get our hopes up.

I know. Just when you think they show some flashes of having a bit of a future, they look dull andl lifeless. We had a good homestand last time, but if we get swept here and then get swept our lose three of four to the Braves, I think we could see the end of O'Brien and/or Miley. Their rope really isn't long right now.

I think getting swept by the Sox and at HOME against the Braves would be the final straw. I really do.
