Have swing, will travel
Reds back on road with boosted confidence

Being swept in three games by a last-place team isn't likely to instill a lot of confidence, but Dave Miley saw something he liked, something positive eight days ago in Denver. The Reds manager saw his players have better at-bats when they went to the plate. He saw them begin to execute a little better at the fundamentals of the game.
The signs he saw turned into realities once the team returned home. Coming off a 1-5 road trip against Houston and Colorado, the Reds finished off a 5-1 homestand Sunday with a 10-6 win over Baltimore, leaders of the American League East. The Reds scored at least nine runs in those five wins.
"When you go 5-1 on a homestand you have to be happy with it and there were a lot of positives that came out of the homestand," said Miley. "Going back to that last game in Colorado, I've been happy with our approach and our play all-around."
