, If I could + rep Junior I would.
It's time for Griffey to grow up and get over it. Wahhh! Billy Martin yelled at me when I was a kid- waaah! Get over it already. For him not to have an appreciation for all the baseball history that has taken place there shows me something about him. Maybe someday if he can win a Championship(or even get to a WS) he'd appreciate it a little more.

**** him.
I booed him so loud today that even with that homerun his self-fulfilling little pretty boy face is probably glistening with tears anyway.
The thing is, the cheers outwieghed the boos today on Jr's HR. I just kept thinking that he is being overrated now. But at the same time, he is respected for what he has done for the game. Which is a lot. A whole lot.
But his value is definitely overrated right now and that is what I am seeing at many ballparks. Maybe it has a lot to do with his 600th HR. But perhaps that respect can net us a better return. I think his past will help market his value much better than his present.
One thing that has me concerned though is that many managers realize that it is difficult for a player to transition from playing both sides of the field to just being a DH. Maybe some managers feel Griffey would have a hard time with it.
I will take current Yankee Stadium over any Stadium in baseball. It's about history not about cup holders at your seat. I wish a new Yankee Stadium wasn't being built, there's nothing like walking into Yankee Stadium. I've been to a ton of Stadiums(old and new) and nothing compares to it and as great as the new Stadium will be it will not compare to it either.
