Yeah I guess 70 HRs will do that

i know he said that in the HOF he will go in a Mariner.. so its no suprise to me he would want to finish up in Sea.. I don't know there situation.. but he is really at the point he would need to play most days at DH.. it would be real nice to see him in that #24 Seattle jersey again.. plus make room for Bruce... i would really be happy to see him go back.. i just don't know what they will give up for him.. may take a huge loss really.. but i guess getting anything for him would be profit since it sounds like once this contract is up he would go back anyway
Sorry but I can't see the M's trading for Griffey.
If the Mariners do make a push for Griffey, it will likely be in the off-season. They have an owner not afraid to spend money to bring players into camp. Griffey could be a nice fit as the DH in Seattle. He could play there for another 6 years, allowing him to possibly get to Bonds' home run number.

I doubt Griffey gets traded. I think he will want to stay in Cincy and retire a Red. He has some more people to pass on the homerun record list. If anything Cincy should add some talent and try and win the division.
KBSL - Atlanta Hawks
Arizona gm - MSL
The problem is the talent we have to add plays in RF as well. Although, CF is an option too. Just not the best one.
GET NOTICED.

Hmm, would you rather have Clement, who's still an unknown, or a first-ballot HOFer who put the franchise on the map.

Clement and I wouldn't think twice about it. Clement has upside, Griffey doesn't.
I am pretty sure every Mariner fan would agree with my assessment. Clement is on the rise while Griffey is declining.
No I can't but find me one or find any person who disagrees with what I said. Clement is hitting .397 with 5 HRs and 20 RBI in AAA right now. Please show me a fan who would rather spend money on Griffey rather than save money and get more production with Clement?
reef is right here guys, maybe a few Mariner fans would do it. But not the fan that counts (Bavasi; the GM). You simply don't trade old production for young production. We wouls have to seriously add stuff to that deal.
The M's would be out of their heads to trade Clement for Griffey.
