    Moeller DFA'd, Freel Activated

Moeller might have been the biggest waste of a roster space we've ever had.

One of the many benefits to Narron being gone is that we don't have to tolerate the 3 catchers on the roster thing he loved so much.

I'm excited to see Freel back again.

It's like a a two for one deal, Freel and Farney for Moeller. Moeller is serviceable enough for a AAA relief catcher in case of injury to the big league team, but we all know he brought little to the table despite Chris Welsh having man love for him it seemed (he was always mentioning how Moeller was heating up or something to that effect.)

Freel coming back brings up an interesting point though, I wonder if we will see the same Ryan Freel again? This is a guy over 30, a father, a husband and someone who was very shaken up by his injury.... so, will he balls to the wall still or a more reserved player (thus losing some of his value)? If this makes him a bit more timid, I wonder if he would re-find his plate discipline if he is naturally a bit more calmer as a result (or at least for awhile.)

Did Moeller really have a 17/0 k/bb rate? Pitiful if true.

I honestly think Freel will still be nuts. Maybe a bit reserved (for him anyway) in the field, ut he will still be insane on the basepaths. I am very happy to see Freel back. Now is where Krivsky will have the opportunity to feel for his trades with Freel available for the OF.

I wonder what other moves are coming...

Yep Moeller sure did. 17/0 that is just horrible. Hey Welsh, you call that heating up?

I think he will be just as aggressive on the basepaths, but I do wonder if he will get over the hesitation he might face before diving full force for a ball as every split second counts.

I think Freel knows one way to play and one way only - balls to the wall. I'd be shocked if his style changed.

We couldsay this, he would definitely be a very different player if he were not the same guy we know. It is an interesting thought. But as mission said, perhaps it brings him a bit more patience at the plate.

The ONLY bad part about Moeller's exodus is the fact that Valentin will catch some games now. Time for some puzzling pitch selection, a lack of communication between him and many of the pitchers and a poor target behind the plate, not to mention his poor ability to block pitches and throw out runners.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
