Welsh just said without Jr, the Reds don't have a lefthanded power threat. He casually mentions that Dunn "gets hot on occasion" or something along those lines.

    Ay yi yi yi yi.

He also just said "And that's why Narron is getting the big bucks George, and not me or you." You're all overpaid IMO.

Haha, Welsh. Now I can understand if he were talking about right-handed bats. Really we have none until EdE figures something out. BP is so-so on the power front.

Lets get this inning. I think it will be Stanton. This is more than likely a huge mistake.

    Nope its Weathers.

Hell of a catch by Ryan Freel. I'm glad he was out there

I love seeing Freel scampering back to get that one. I feel Freel is the only player deserving to have the word scamper be used in connection with.

Well, I didn't expect a win here, but I didn't think we'd lose it in a pitcher's duel in extra innings.

The bleeding has stopped.... at least for tonight. But given the bleeding we have done, for such a long period, we're currently sitting in one big cold pile of blood.

That's why Harang is the ace though, to put a stop to the bleeding.
    Reds MVP: Harangatang
    Padres MVP: Boomer

    Nice win! Finally!

I have to say, Weathers impressed me. Nice to see Narron opted to stay away from the rest of the bullpen. Harang was awesome tonight. I am very glad to see that he is not going to be struggling like he did the few games prior. I don't think he is injured CRF. I think he answered our questions on that.

Griffey with the game winning shot as hisbat continues to shine. BP now has a 19-game hit streak if I am not mistaken. We need to start scoring more runs, but I will take the win.

    MVP: Harang

I don't think it helped, but Belisle was throwing fat ones over the heart of the plate time after time. I think the nerves of facing his idol did him in more than anything (and it could explain him overthrowing.)

Yeah, though I have noticed since the beginning of the year that he has been consistently better with Ross.

I think I was the only one to notice it at first but it has finally caught on across Reds Nation.

I suppose he's not injured, but when he can only hit 86 or 87 mph with his fastball and continues toi fall off with his delivery, I have to start wondering.

I did notice Harang didn't have the usual bags under his eyes last night. Maybe he just needed refreshed.

I wish Phillips and his .330 OBP would stop hitting second though. He should bat 5th or 6th.
