Is there any way we can get a big arm through without injury. Howington, Gruler, now Bailey. This is ridiculous.
I am glad it is just a groin thing, but I just hate to hear a prospect is hurt.
i'm not worried about it. its a groin strain and he'll prolly be retroactive to his last start which will give his arm some rest, straining him from any other injuries god forbid.
bad luck, yes, but everyone gets hurt from time to time, no need to blow this out of the water.

I know guys, the title is a bit drastic. But with the way things are going, bad news keeps piling up and this one just killed me.
Hopefully it is not one where they say he will be out for a few weeks and then next thingyou know he is shelved for the season. Remember, the new rules state that they cannot disclaim what is going on. Not only that, (looking at this is the worst case scenario of course) we all know if the Reds are good at one thing, it is that they keep the fans out of the loop of what is going on.
I am just afraid of this becoming bigger than we initially suppose it to be.
...I thought you were going to say Narron got a contract extension. Luckily its just Homer having crotch pain. Hopefully he can bounce back soon.
UPDATE:
Per C Trent:
Homer update: Josh talked to Louisville manager Rick Sweet about Homer tonight. Rick said it was nothing serious, and that if he were in the majors, he'd probably pitch through it, but not right now. Also, the minor league DL is 7 days, so Homer will be eligible to come off the DL on Sunday.
yeah not horrible news, he isn't coming up anytime soon, its not that serious.
man don't scare me like that.
I hate to see any type of setbacks for our top pitching prospects, but this seems to a minor issue. And, at least its not a shoulder/elbow problem..
little things like this can lead to changes in his natural delivery which can lead to more stress on the elbow/shoulder. I'm going to keep an eye on this
bailey in his first start back :
so far 5.0 IP, 6k's, 1bb, 1R, 0ER, 1H. 81 pitches, 51 for strikes.
1BB
I like.
bailey's final line:
5.2 IP, 7 K's, 2BB, 1R, 0ER, 1H, 92 pitches, 57 for strikes.
Only 3 base runners allowed in almost six innings of work, thats not too bad at all.
