It is official, Narron hates EdE. Phillips walks to 1B on his triple off the CF wall last night. No sitting. His excuse?
Griffey stops at 3B which was smart, but only after he was jogging from 1st to 2nd on the gapper hit by Phillips. For that, Phillips gets in a pickle and Griffey is left looking stupid on 3B."I told him I was thankful he made it to third base, because I would have hated for him to not been in there in the ninth inning," Narron said. "I thought it was out. The only thing I can tell you is, as long as guys get the bases they're supposed to get, that's all I ask for."
Freel and Hamilton definitely looked good at the top of the order last night. No doubt, it is smart to start them. But why not sit Phillips or Griffey tonight and get EdE back in there? I know Phillips is finally coming out of his slump, but you have to give EdE the chance. If I were EdE, I would be talking about an unfair management position that Narron is taking.
I am sick on this one. I truly hope EdE will not get too pissed and just play stupid out of anger once/if he starts again.
