Ramirez has pitched well in his debut, gave up a couple mistakes that got hit hard. But the offense has got to take advantage of guys when they dont have their best stuff (5 BB in first 4 innings). I would tell Claussen take your time and try to figure out why he's lost velocity, break down every single milisecond of his delivery and see if maybe a flaw in the delivery thats different than when he was getting better speed on his stuff.

I dont mind DJ in the lineup if Randa needed a day off, but DJ should not be in there everyday over Freel, Lopez, Kearns, Pena, Griffey, or Casey.

Ok Ramirez starting to get hit a bit, only 84 pitches it might be about time to give Mercker a call and let Ramirez leave with a good outing.

I really liked what I saw of Ramirez's curve. Nice big break, not a ton of movement to either side, but if he can locate it, I think he can be effective.
