Stomach-turning.
Very sad.
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)
Homer: We're proud of you, boy.
Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
I about cried when it came across on ESPN. Truly shocking.
Apparently they found his driver's license on the scene. That's how they knew he was the pilot.

I hate to see something like this. Especially when I was dumb enough to connect this to a terrorist attack. I thought they went from doing car bombs to plane bombs. Sort of a mini 9/11. I guess thats my security mind in action there though.
But this is a completely different situation. RIP Cory Lidle, my thoughts are out to your family.
I was never Lidle's biggest fan when he was in Cincy and I am not going to try to act like it now that he's gone, but wow. Here's a man who was an athlete, in the top league for his game, who's had success and fans... all while still being a relatively young man, only to have life snatched away from him in a heartbeat. Obviously he realized the inherent dangers of his activity, but it's hard to see any person go down like that, let alone someone you looked at every five days and depended on their skills. Lately in baseball we've seen some pass who were memorable names, but all old men for the most part, not someone with a young family still like Lidle. I've seen the flames and the wreckage, but it's hard to believe we won't be seeing him suit up next season. All I hope is that his family can get this terrible time.
RIP
