    Michalak to bereavement list; Norris Hopper called up; Burns DFA

    Chris Michalak's grandmother passed away last night at age 102, so he's headed to the bereavement list for a minimum of three days. He's still expected to start Wednesday.

    In the meantime, the Reds have recalled the International League's leading hitter (.349), Norris Hopper, from Louisville. He should be here in time to play today. Mike Burns was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man.

    Bye Bye Burns! I am also happy to see Hopper get his chance, he has really been putting up good numbers in Louisville this year.
