    EdE: Player of the week!

    per Marc's Blog:

Edwin Encarnacion has been named National League player of the week for Aug. 7-13.

Encarnacion hit .440 (11-25) with a double, four home runs and eight RBIs last week. His 24 total bases and .960 slugging percentage last week led the NL. He currently has a career-high 10-game hitting streak.

Encarnacion is the second Reds player to take P.O.W. honors this year. Brandon Phillips did it April 17-23.

Well, that means Narron will sit him for a week or so.

What a well-deserved honor for him!

It's almost laughable that he rarely played until recently and is now out winning Player of the Week awards. I think that says a lot about Narron.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

EdE has been insane of late! Well deserved and I agree with CRF. Narron should have been starting him since the beginning. Then again, we have all expressed our disinterest in Narron's decisions.

You know you were told to drop this argument, but I see your shallow mind couldn't pick up on that in the PM. I'm going to drop it, I suggest you do the same.

Anyway, I've been following Edwin's career since his days in Dayton, glad to see him in the majors and playing well.
