This wouldn't be nearly as ridiculous as it was if Narron had set precedent for benching players for a long while after they botch it on defense.
I mean, Adam Dunn hasn't missed 50+ games this year, so clearly Narron's not doing it.
Encarnacion made a diving catch on Thursday night and was 2-3 with a BB and an RBI. No reason he shouldn't be out there everyday. Aurilia made an error last night. He's totally incompetent.
How is he expected to get better in the field if we sit him for several games for making a human effort. It's not exactly like he has given up on any play that resulted in an error. Not to mention it's obvious to anyone with eyes that if you were to anaylze it from an old-school approach, he has the physical gifts to be quite spectacular in the field and has shown that with results this year.
Will Clayton sit for his error? Dream on.
