RHP Kyle Edens for Yan and cash. Yan isn't very good... but Rick White... is uh... Rick White.

Ah, the Simpsons. The other one is Tomo Ohka.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
Look at me! I'm Tomokazu Ohka of the Montreal Expos!
Looks like the Reds are getting desperate.

Well he has been horrible for the Angels so far this year. Anyone see anyother positives outside of dropping White for this guy?
He's going to be real cheap, because the Angels just wanted him gone and would pay to do so.
He has six fingers on his non throwing hand. That's cool.
Anyone who has something in common with Antonio Alfonseca should not be a Cincinnati Red.

Alfonseca's just the type of pitcher Krivsky seems to want in the pen - someone who is ungood.
Wow, this guy is at least consistent by maintaining a bad whip.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

When you have the bullpen the Reds have right now, it really can't hurt to try to bring in someone, even if he isn't good.Originally Posted by McKain

I don't think Krivsky "wants" him in the pen. I imagine at the trade deadline and in the offseason he will work on adding real arms to the pen. He is trying to mix and match options there now, as Castellini wants him to at least try to keep the team afloat as much as possible this year.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.
Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
Yan is up. Shackelford has been optioned to AAA.
It looks like Rick White is sticking around. I just don't get it. Narron probably thinks White should stay because he's a vet who plays the game the right way.

Now I officially do not like this move. Shack may be only good when he faces lefties, but he can still be used as a specialist. Whereas White should not be coming out of the pen at all.
Yea, i really don't get Krivsky that much anymore. I mean, does he not see that White sucks or something?
i will say one thing, and god i can't believe i am going to be the optomistic one in this.. but at least they are doing something, i mean sure he may suck, and probably will, but what if he catches on, sometimes guys just catch on better in a different city.. not even saying it will or its likely.. but what if... I mean the bottom line is our pen is garbage and they went out and got another ML(albeit that could be debatable) reliever.. because we clearly lack depth for that... What it tells me is that he is willing to do something to fix the problems we have.. or at least try to do something.. unlike in the past were we just packed it in and got ready for next season after a skid like this
