A couple of names floating out there...

There are rumors that once Yankees starter Carl Pavano is healthy and back in the rotation, either Shawn Chacon or Jaret Wright may be traded. Do either of them do anything for you all? I think Chacon might be an upgrade over Williams and Paul Wilson (if and when he comes back).

No and NO. If we get rid of Milton or Williams MAYBE Chacon.

I remember thinking Chacon was one of the next good pitchers after that really good start to the season in 2003. Then he got knocked around a bit while in Colorado for the next few years. But I just blamed that on Colorado.

But now that he is a Yankee, he still has a bad ERA (5.59). I was not sure as to why the Yanks went after him as they have the reputation of getting whatever they want.

So, I don't want Chacon because IMO he has never proven to be a good pitcher on a consistent basis. We can't be fooled by his 2005 numbers either as he was a reliever/closer last year.

Jaret Wright is another one that had a good moment in his career yet he has never lived up to it. His 2004 numbers were really nice. It may be that he is under the Yankee pressure right now and he may be able to go back to his 2004 days with a return to the NL. I would go for Wright for the right price.

Jaret Wright had a good 2004. He has not had any good year other than that.

2004, he was with Atlanta and Leo Mazzone.

    I rest my case.

I agree. I really wouldnt want either one of them. But if I had to take on I would take Chacon just for the fact that he would at least stay on the staff and not on the DL. But thats only if I had to pick one.
