Come on Hammond, you don't need to add to that ERA.

Then again, it wouldn't bother me a bit if it opens narron's eyes a bit.

So the Reds get another nicely pitched game by one of their SP. This time Claussen's gives up nothing through 7 innings. The offense was on its game once again tonight even without Griffey. The Reds continue to make good impressions from their rotation and their offense. Would have been nice to go errorless but that could not happen with the Felo throw.

Honestly, Hammond looked good against RH hitters and bad against the lone lefty he faced.

    Great win tonight Reds!

    MVP: Claussen

I just got home from work, i listen to part of the game on the radio. Dunn and Kearns went yard again which is awsome Claussen shut down the AAA Marlins which i expected, and the Reds win. The only bad news I heard today, which i just heard from Jim Day on the post game show, is that they put Griffey on the DL. That really sucks.

I gotta give the nod to Phillips. This is the type of games he needs to get his confidence back. I still believe we are looking at a Lopez esque project, except a little less power.

Just got back from the game. Glad I chose to go to this one, since I figured this was the game they had the best chance to win. We walked up around 5 and got front row, infield box tickets, literally in the first row behind the Diamond Club seats and two seats to the left of the Scout seats. Pretty amazing seats for $36 a pop. We ended up sitting outside at the Machine Room Grille and watched Reds BP. Dunn was launching the hell out of everything and David Ross had an upper deck shot. First time I've gotten to see Reds BP, so that was pretty sweet.

The game itself was pretty awesome, as you know. Great night, great game. I've decided that Mike Burns is, indeed, a bum, and have therefore given up on him. Chris Hammond is still pathetic, but when he faces Reggie Abercrombie, even he can look good. The Marlins are indeed a joke, and hopefully the Reds can dominate Vargas and beat Willis the next two days.

    MVP: Claussen
    Bum: Mike Burns

Despite the latest member to join your "BumHouse," I think that was the most positive post you've ever made on these forums, Geki.

Those bums don't deserve a house. They get a cardboard box and they'll be damn happy to recieve that box.

Good to see the Reds rebound today after the tough one yesterday. Claussen was good. I am going to give the MVP to Phillips just b/c its good to see him have some success at the plate. Maybe that will buy him more time at 2B than Womack since Freel is playing CF everyday for the time.

i think the MVP vote tonight is a tie so far, which i'll break with a vote for phillips. claussen was great, but with how much offense the reds put up and how bad the marlins are, i think the shutout means just a hair less. who knows, it isn't an exact science, but i was happy to see brandon get after it.

    3: Dunn, Felo, Freel, Milton
    2: Claussen, EdE, Griffey, Valentin
1: Aurilia, Hatteberg, Lizard, Larue, Shackelford
