Viciedo finally gets the call

The White Sox will recall OF Dayan Viciedo from Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday to take Carlos Quentin's spot on the roster when he's placed on the disabled list.
The move is overdue. Viciedo endured an awful July (.691 OPS), but has gotten hot in August, particularly over his past 10 games, where he's hitting .343/.385/.743 to go along with four home runs, two doubles and 10 RBI. He played very well for the White Sox during a 38 game cup of coffee last season, hitting .308/.321/.519 across 106 plate appearances.

He should have been called up months ago but Ozzie Guillen didn't want him. White Sox currently sit 7.5 games out so Viciedo is going to have to step right in and produce if the White Sox expect to leapfrog two team to win the Central.
