I keep reading more and more Quentin rumors and I am a little surprised by it since the White Sox are still in the AL Central race. They currently sit 4.5 games out so its still a good three team race and winnable so why trade a top run producer? Quentin has an .885 OPS with 20 HRs and 60 RBI. Sure he's a butcher in the field, his bat makes up for that. Maybe in the offseason you trade him in his last year of arbitration but not while you're in a playoff chase. Only reason I can see is the White Sox need to trim payroll (which has been reported) and they feel Dayan Viciedo is ready to take over in RF. If the package is right and gives the Sox a chance to win this year and next, they have to take it I guess but that would be the only deal I would give him up for. The Phillies have been rumored to have interest and the Giants have been linked as well. There's never any telling with Kenny Williams.
