ChiSox Say No To Griffey

SI.com's Jon Heyman reports that the White Sox have decided against re-signing Ken Griffey Jr.
It was safe to assume they wouldn't. Griffey isn't an answer in center field for the White Sox, and there's no room for him elsewhere. He hit .260/.347/.405 in 41 games after being acquired from the Reds.

Smart move by Williams here. I see Griffey signing with the M's to end his HOF career.

There's the first good move by Kenny this offseason. I know it's only a pipe dream, but it would be nice if someone in the organization could lure Captain Cheeseburger to Chicago so he can exact revenge on the Indians three or so times a year. Like I said, pipe dream.

CC to the White Sox is a pipe dream. He will get several very large offers from NL teams and at least 2 from AL teams. Can the White Sox match the Yankees or Red Sox offers? How about the 5-year, $100M that is on the table from the Brewers?
As to Griffey, I see him going back to Seattle for his swan song. Maybe 2 years and he'll be the DH for most of it.
