White Sox | Dye misses third straight; DL unlikely

Updating a previous post, Scott Merkin, of WhiteSox.MLB.com, reports Chicago White Sox OF Jermaine Dye (quad) missed his third straight game Monday, June 25, with a strained right quadriceps, but he said he will not go on the disabled list. "No. I actually talked to [general manager] Kenny [Williams] and I'm not going to go on the DL," Dye said. "As of right now, I'm going to let Kenny know the last day here, tell him how it's feeling and go from there. He told me there is no rush to anything -- 'Get better and make sure I'm right.'"
