Game one is going nicely. White Sox just went up 7-0 on a 2B by A.J. Pierzynski. Fossum is gone after 1 2/3, and allowed 5 ER. Oh, and Delmon Young didn't get a very friendly welcome to the big leagues. Freddy Garcia plunked him in his first big league AB.

WHAT AN AMAZING RALLY IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 8TH! Iguchi with the 2 out BOMB, then the MVP and Comeback Player of the Year combine to manufacture the go ahead run. Bobby then came in and nailed it down for Jon Garland, who picks up his 16th win of the season.
Now for the bad: This game should have been won LONG before the bottom of the 8th inning. The Sox left ELEVEN on base in the first 5 innings, while scoring only 1 run. They should have had at least 5 off Corcoran, but squandered several VERY good oppurtunities. Good teams WILL NOT let you squander oppurtunities like that. So for tonight, I'm glad the Devil Rays were in town, but hopefully this offense will not continue to struggle like that. Going off their history this year though, I'd say the chances of that are good.

All I have to say about today's game is that I HATE the way this team is playing right now. I haven't seen championship caliber ball from these guys in a while.
